Description

Grand Teton National Park intendes to award a sole source contract to Kodiak Northwest for the purchase of a loader mount self contained snowblower. This proposed action is for a procurement which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sourece under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all expressions of interest received within 20 calendar days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The work consists of furnishing a self-contained, integral snowblower powered by a diesel engine of at least 500 horsepower. Unit must be capable of moving 3000 ton per hour. Unit shall mount directly to the loader lifting mechanism without additional weldments. The Rotary Plow shall consist of a two stage assembly; the first of helically curved cutting and gathering blades, and the second a discharge fan which will discharge the snow throught a directional chute. For standardization of parts, helical cutting blades, fan, gear casing and chain covers must be the equivalent of those currently in use on three other snow blowers in Grand Teton National Park. The estimated price range for the work is between $50,000 and $150,000.
