Description
The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) for the District of Columbia, is including in this synopsis, a solicitation under a small business set-aside (SIC 1731), for the design and installation of a professional sound reinforcement system in a training room located at CSOSA HQ. The contractor will also provide quotations for optional ceiling mounted projection. The agency is seeking an effective and efficient, state-of-the art solution to its training room sound and video requirements. The goal of this request is provide a quality sound reinforcement with the capability of playing back and recording and providing projection capability in each room for presentation purposes. THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY WALK THROUGH OF THE FACILITY ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2000, at 10am, at the address specified below. There will be no make up times permitted. We are requiring that the contractors propose the solution in writing and through diagrams, therefore it is required that they inspect all aspects of the facility, at the aforementioned time. The Scope of Work is as follows: It is understood that the following five items be realized: A: The contractor has inspected the site and is familiar with any conditions that might effect this work prior to bidding on this job. B. The contractor shall be responsible for attaining any and all D.C permits and licenses necessary for the jobs. C. The contractor shall be responsible for repairing and replacing any and all ceiling tiles floor tiles and walls damaged during this job. D. The contractor shall replace all furniture moved and leave the work area in a clean condition. E. All Contractor personnel utilized under this agreement shall submit to a Government conducted background investigation prior to performing work. -- The system shall include the following equipment.as part of Option A: Amplifier, equalizer CD Player, dual-deck cassette player and ceiling mounted speakers strategically placed through both areas for optimum coverage with all necessary connecting connectors and interconnecting cables. The system shall be designed so that each room can operate independently from the other and installed in a lockable cabinet located in a closet located in the rear of the space. -- The contractor will place 8 ea. microphone jacks placed in strategic areas designated by the COTR. -- The contractor will provide mounted in the wall an audio feed (Line Input). This feed is requested so that the government may be able to video record meetings and provide the Media with a direct feed. -- The contractor will adjust/equalize the system using calibrated equipment. -- The contractor will mark all knobs, slides and switches for quick reference that the system is properly set. -- The contractor will provide proper documentation and training of designated staff on the systems use its raining, -- The contract will specify the power requirements of the specified system Option B- Video Presentation Capability: The contractor will provide a design and pricing for the installation of two (2) ceiling mounted projection devices with Video and data presentation capability. -- Each projector should be able to operate independently. -- The government has installed in the specified space two (2) ceiling mounted projection screens in each of the rooms. -- The contractor will provide all documentation and train our staff on its proper use. -- The government will provide all necessary power at the locations specified in drawing by the contractor. The Government intends for this project to be completed by 11/01/2000. Award will only be made to one company or institution under this solicitation. Contract provisions and clauses will be provided at the walk-through. Proposals will be due on October 03, 2000.
