- REQUIREMENTS FOR FY-2000 (OCTOBER 1, 2000 -- SEPTEMBER 30, 2001 The contractor will act as subject matter expert, and will provide guidance in the operation of equipment and material required to ensure the proper functioning and compliance of plant. The following shall be routine operations performed daily by the contractor. SEWAGE PLANT: 1. Supply and regulate chlorine application. 2. Initiate and implement a cleaning regiment to ensure the chlorine contact tank remains algae free. 3. Supply and regulate application of de-chlorinating tablets. 4. Inspecyt and clean influent bar screen. 5. Monitor flow spliter box operations. 6. Inspect and monitor inhoff tanks operations. 7. Record and maintan flow rate. 8. Monitor and inspect injector pumps, ensuring proper maintenance is performed. Contractor is responsilbe for supplying, carrying and maintaining all their own personal protective clothing and equipment, to include, but not limited to, breathing apparatus, gloves, safety glasses, etc., while performing their daily duties. Contractor, as subject matter expert, will advise the Director, Somerville Asset Management Service, immediately in writing, of any potential or existing hazards. Within the context of the written notification, the contractor will also provide the suggested means and/or methodology required to correct these hazards. The contractor will incorporate all required data from the above list into the Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR's) that will be prepared monthly by them. PLANT MAINTENANCE: Contractor will establish and monitor a preventive program for the sewage treatment plant. The routing preventive maintenance plan shall include, but not limited to the following: 1. Check low pressure oil. Somerville Asset Mangement Director's office to be notified in writing when change is needed. 2. Check motor temperature of all rotary equipment. 3. Ensure proper lubrication and maintenance schedule is established for all rotary equipment. The Director, Somerville Asset Management Service, should be notified in writing of the schedule. 4. Notify Director in writing when dosing tank requires cleaning. 5. Notify Director in writing when sand filter beds require cleaning, vegetation removal, and rototilling. Contractor shall be prepared to answer emergency call at any time throughout the year if a problem arises. An eight-hour response time is required if malfuntion of seage treatment plant occurs. Contractor shall accompany Somerville Asset Management Service employees during the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Agencies (NJDEP) annual compliance and evaluation inspection. In addition to completing the DMR's, contractor shall assist in the completion of all other forms, applications, questionairres, etx., that pertain to the sewage treatment plant. MONTHLLY FACILITY MAINTENANCE REPORT: Contractor shall provide the Director, Somerville Asset Management Service, with a monthly report that reflects a summary of facility performance and detailed activities that occurred during the previous month. DISCHARGE MONITORING REPORT (dmr) -- Monthly Report: Contractor shall fully prepare DMR reports and have them signed by an operator licensed by NJDEP. All reports shall be mailed or delivered to the facility within two days of receipt, or as required to meet DEP deadling of the 25th of each month.
