Description

Inter-island Ferry Authority Vessel Construction Project Construction and Delivery Supervision. The Inter-island Ferry Authority (IFA), an Alaskan Port Authority, is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to supervise construction, outfitting, sea trials, and delivery of a new passenger/vehicle ferry for service in Southeast Alaska (Phase III), to supervise warranty, maintenance, repair or replacement work (Phase IV), and to perform related services. Phase III work will begin upon signing of ferry construction contract (October 15, 2000, estimated). IFA will afford Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) full opportunity to submit proposals and will not discriminate against DBEs on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration of an award of contract pursuant to this request for proposals.
