Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service intends to enter into a single source contract with Enconair Ecological Chambers, Inc. for the purchase of two reach- in growth chambers (one remote air-cooled and one self contained air-cooled model). Installation is included which consists of supplying mounting pads, drilling all holes in walls and roof and running electrical lines and refrigeration piping from plant growth chambers to condenser. High light levels are required for plant research (980 umoles/m2/s) under cold (-5 degrees C) conditions with range to 40 degrees C. System must be air-cooled due to site's lack of capacity to support an additional water-cooled system. Sixteen square feet of growth area and 60 inches of height are required for thee seedlings and vine material. The Enconair GC 16 Self Contained Air-Cooled Model and remote air-cooled models meet these requirements. All software and computer hardware which runs this equipment is covered by copyright, proprietary, and not licensed to any other companies.
