Description

The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia proposes to modify existing contract N00140-94-C-CB06 with SatoTravel for official travel services in support of the Chief of Naval Operations (N413B), Washington, D.C. The contractor will be responsible for providing services to all Navy activities in the Navy's Eastern Region which includes seventeen (17) states in the Eastern part of the United States (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL) and extends to the Caribbean Sea area, South America, Europe and Iceland. The services required include, but are not limited to, the following: air, bus, and rail reservations and ticketing for all scheduled carriers; Government and Commercial lodging reservations, rental car arrangements, ticket and itinerary delivery; automated central billed account reconciliation and related reports, management information reports, conference/meeting arrangements, and 24 hour toll free information and assistance hot-line. These services shall consist of a base period encompassing nine (9) months, commencing 01 Oct 2000 through 30 June 2001, plus three (3) one month option periods encompassing July 2001 through September 2001. This action is required in order to provide continuity of services so that the Navy can place a competitive interim follow-on procurement until full Defense Travel System (DTS) implementation by Naval Commands is complete. This extension modification to contract N00140-94-C-CB06 is for services that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. SatoTravel is considered the only supplier capable of providing the required services during this interim period necessary to allow for the placement of a competitive follow-on. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received.
