Description

This synopsis serves as a modification to prior Pre-Solicitation Notice N299872 posted electronically in the CBDNet on 18 February 2000. The description that was contained within the prior synopsis is hereby modified as follows. Via solicitation N00140-00-R-N534, FISC Norfolk Det Phila intends to acquire, on a full and open competitive basis, all official Navy travel services throughout CONUS and OCONUS in support of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington D.C. Solicitation N00140-00-R-N534 is an interim procurement that is being processed simultaneously with DoD reengineering efforts and will likewise contain a fee for service pricing mechanism. Navy is committed to implementing the Defense Travel System (DTS), and as Navy Commands fully implement DTS they will be transitioned from the Navy's resultant contract. The resultant contract will encompass a one year base period of performance commencing 01 Oct 01 with option provisions for four (4), six (6) month option periods to extend the term of the contract through Fiscal Year 2003. Even if an option or options would otherwise be exercised, such options may not be exercised based on the status of Defense Travel System (DTS) acquisition efforts.
