Description

Cleaning, inspecting and sliplining with a high density polyethlene liner approximately 360 lineal feet of 4" diameter cast iron force main pipe and replacing valves and fittings in the bathhouse lift station, Drakesbad Guest Ranch area of Lassen Volcanic National Park. The force main runs between the manhole adjacent to the lodge and bathhouse lift station in the swimming pool area. The force main is approximately 1 to 2-feet of cover and runs through a meadow that is environmentally sensitive. The pipe is exposed in some areas. The Drakesbad area consists of a lodge and cabins, which are operated by a concessionaire, and is open seasonally. The Contractor shall be required to commence and complete the work between the period of October 9, 2000 and October 14, 2000 while the Guest Ranch is closed for the season. Project site is accessible from Chester, California, approximately 40 miles west of Susanville, California, and 23 miles east of Mineral, California. The project is approximately 17 miles northwest of Chester, California. A 3-mile portion of the road is unpaved. Lassen Volcanic National Park is located approximately 48 miles east of Red Bluff, California, on State Highway 36. Approximate date for availability of Request for Quotations (RFQ) is 9/6/00 with an estimated response date of 9/15/00. Price range of the work is estimabed to be less than $25,000.
