Description

The Air Force is requesting quotations for the construction of a concrete ramp for Building 1814 at Hanscom AFB, MA. The scope of this project consists of the furnishing all services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform all operations in connection with installing a new 42' x 12' concrete loading ramp for Building 1814. This includes, but is not strictly limited to removal of all existing asphalt and subbase material, prep and level all subbase course material, construct all structural concrete formwork,, install concrete reinforcement framework, allow for expansion joints and contraction joints, and pour and finish concrete. The magnitude of this project is between $35,000 and $70,000. The period of performance for this project will be 30 calendar days. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings for this project will ONLY be available at Internet address: http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil These items will not be mailed, and telephone requests will not be honored. Further information will be available at a later date. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive a solicitation or award. If you submit a quote without being registered, it will be deemed unacceptable and not eligible for award. Tentatively, the RFQ will be released on or about 19 Sep 00, site visit on 22 Sep 00, and due date on 28 Sep 00. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of quotations, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. Offerors are advised that the cost of any response is at the offeror's own risk. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the contract specialist and/or contracting officer.
