Description

Portable Abrasive Blast and Recovery System; 6 each, US Filter/Schmidt P/N 8031-030 or Equal. This is a pneumatic portable dry abrasive blast unit with wheels and a handle designed to use steel grit for blasting of items coated with lead paint. It shall be designed to recover the blasted material thereby eliminating hazardous dust and cleanup issues. The portable abrasive blast and recovery system shall be intended for use in locations where traditional open-air blasting is impractical or prohibited. The unit shall be designed to blast and vacuum simultaneously, or it shall be able to perform either function independently. Also required is training and several data requirements related to safety, consumable items list, and technical manuals. Commercially available off-the-shelf equipment shall be used to satisfy this requirement. The award will be based upon best value to the government, not necessarily the lowest acceptable offer. The contract type will be firm-fixed price.
