Description

This is a combined Synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The invitation for bid document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-19. This is a 100% set-aside for small business procurement. The SAIC code is "541519" Other computer services. The small business size is $18.0 million. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (AAC), Austin, Texas (AAC) intends to procure the following: Direct Cisco Systems Smartnet Hardware/Software Services for the following Cisco line items: 1) Cisco 1601 router, sn#CE0168X, 2) Cisco 7000 sn# 77004589 and 77012125; 3) Cisco 1201, sn# 62001271, 4) Cisco 1202, sn#'s 62004834, 62004836 and 62004838; 5) Cisco 7505 sn#'s 50018048 and 50014001; 6) Cisco 2513 sn#'s 25734506 and 25695287; 7) Cisco 2501 sn#25728737; 8) Cisco 2514 sn# 25698577; 9) Cisco 7507, sn#76009690; 10) Cisco 4500M, sn# 45566294; 11) Cisco 7513, sn#73014666, 12) Cisco 4700M sn#47553536, 13) Cisco 2948G-L3 with shouthaul GBIC sn# FOX04031426, and 14) Cisco Works for Windows, product code CON-SAU-PKG5. Due the the nature of our business the VA expects to award a contract from the vendor that will provide product support directly from Cisco at the lowest overall price. Period of coverage for these items is October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001. Responses shall be in writing and can be mailed to the attention of the contracting officer or faxed to 512/326-6028.
