Description
This project consists of the removal and/or disposal of Asbestos Materials at various locations within the boundaries of the U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk. Additional abatement procedures include but are not limited to the subsequent cleaning of contaminated areas; the transportation and disposal procedures, as required, of Asbestos-containing materials by persons trained, knowledgeable and qualified in the technique of abatement handling and disposal of Asbestos-containing and/or Asbestos-contaminated materials. Services will be provided as-needed and as determined by the Norfolk District and will be issued by task orders against an Indefinite Delivery contract. The total amount of task orders will not exceed $2,000,000.00 per contract year. The contract will be awarded with a Base Year and Four Option Year periods. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. SIC Code 1799 applies. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is via the Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, as separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
