- Description
- The Ultrasound Technician submitted must be able to start on September 25, 2000. If candidate is not available to start on September 25, 2000 offeror will be determined non-responsive, if after award it is determined candidate cannot start on September 25, 2000 contract shall be terminated for cause and award shall be made to next lowest offer. Price is an all-inclusive rate of per diem, travel, and price/cost. The Technologist will be assigned to Diagnostic and Therapeutic Service from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week. The Technologist must have knowledge, skills, and experience in performing all ultrasonographic studies to include but not limited to abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetrical and gynecological, and percutaneous punctures. Assignment requires knowledge and skill in services provided to an adult population, mostly geriatric. Technologist will be providing services for all outpatient and inpatient areas. The Technologist must be proficient in the use and operation of the Advance Tech Lab ATL HDI 3000. The Technologist must: a. Have an unrestricted license in a US state, territory or US commonwealth; b. Speak English proficiently; c. Be a US citizen; d. Certified Ultrasound Technician; e. Have a professional degree and education applicable to medical staff members f. Provide evidence of current professional liability insurance; g. Names of most current employer(s) and two peer reference contacts; h. Current copy of BLS certifications; i. Be a team player; j. Must be computer literate, as VA Roseburg Healthcare System utilizes a computerized patient medical record; Contractor must provide the following documentation along with the candidate's information: 1. Evidence of PPD status within the last year.. 2. Evidence of completion of HEP B series and/or evidence that individual has sign the declination. 3. If the contract Technologist is required to work in an environment that requires a respirator, the contractor will either provide their Technologist with a properly fitted respirator or the contract Technologist will be required to go through VA Roseburg's Respiratory Fit Program prior to beginning their assignment.
