Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Region is currently reviewing and opening up their Qualified Vendor's List (QVL) for Weather Observation Services to interested contractors. Current contractors will be sent a letter to update their previously submitted application no later than September 6, 2000. These contractors are advised that they should contact Nadene Fontano at telephone No. 718-553-3080 if they do not receive recertification correspondence. A response is mandatory to remain on the QVL. All new contractors interested in receiving an application form should submit a request via fax to Nadene Fontano at 718-995-5684 by COB September 8, 2000. Requests received after that time will not be accepted. Contractors will be evaluated on the following criteria: Past Performance, Management Plan and Financial Capability. FAA, Eastern Region, does not anticipate any available projects until August 2001. Placement of a company on a QVL does not guarantee a request for offer or award of a contract to a company. Any company whose performance becomes deficient or is determined unacceptable may be removed with cause from the QVL by written notice at any time.
