Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional formation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The NAICS is 56172. This is a 100% small business setaside. STATEMENT OF WORK: U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services has a need for janitorial services for the Animal Research Wildlife Building in Fort Collins, Colorado. BIDDER ABILITY TO PERFORM: Bidder shall be able to hire a fully qualified and experienced facility maintenance person and maintain them on site based on APHIS's needs at the ARB. CLEANING SERVICES: Restrooms and Mud Rooms (Daily): 1. Empty, clean, and replace liners as needed in waste baskets. 2. Clean/disinfect all sinks, toilets and urinals using a hospital grade disinfectant. 3. Clean and disinfect all counter tops. 4. Clean and polish all stainless steel and chrome. 5. Clean all glass and mirrors. 6. Spot-clean walls, partitions and doors. 7. Dust flat surfaces. 8. Refill all paper and soap dispensers as needed. 9. Sweep, wet-mop and disinfect floors. 10. Dust vents as needed. 11. Trash liners, restroom paper towels, toilet paper and hand soap will be provided by Contractor. Remainder of Building Daily: 1. Sweep & wet-mop alcoves and Dr. Dales office floors. 2. Vacuum electrostatic floors (rooms 109 and 113 only). 3. Empty small trash containers, clean & replace liners as needed. 4. Spot-clean walls, partitions and doors. 5. Clean/disinfect water fountains and polish with 3M stainless steel polish. 6. Insect control: Set and monitor insect traps replacing as needed. 7. Clean Necropsy room as needed. 8. Clean/disinfect eye wash and emergency showers as needed. Once A Week: 1. Empty large trash containers on Fridays, clean & replace liners as needed. 2. Mop stairwells. 3. Clean Ante room counters. 4. Clean (w/stainless steel cleaner) stainless steel counters in docks. 5. Clean Docks when necessary. 6. Dust locker tops in restrooms and locker areas. 7. Clean/disinfect telephones. Once A Month: 1. Clean window sills and dorsal surfaces. 2. Dust blinds. 3. Clean interior and exterior windows (weather permitting). 4. Various Cleaning Frequencies: 5. Clean hallways and S.N.E.entry rooms on Mondays,Wednesdays and Fridays. 6. Clean Rack room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 7. Clean vents in hallways bi-monthly. 8. Clean light fixtures every two months. 9. Clean upholstered furniture quarterly. 10. Clean protective handrails biannually. 11. Clean walls biannually. 12. Clean incinerator room as requested. The following areas are excluded from this contract, as it pertains to janitorial services, and thus will not have any cleaning work performed by Bidder or its contractor in rooms: Room 137-A Ante Room, Room 152-C Animal Room, Room 137-C Animal Room, Room 183-C Animal Room, Room 137-D Animal Room, Room 185-D Animal Room, Room 137-E Animal Room, Room 187-C Animal Room, Room 137-F Animal Room, Room 177 Feed Refrigerator, Room 137-G Animal Room, Room 163 Storage, Room 137-H Animal Room, Room 169 Generator, Room 157-C Animal Room, Room 182 Gas Room, Room 159-D Animal Room, Room 179 Water Line Room, Room 161-D Animal Room, Room 133 Rack Room Storage, Room 164-D Animal Room, Room 134 Freezer, Room 162-D Animal Room, Room 136 Freezer, Room 160-C Animal Room, Room 140 Freezer, Room 156-C Animal Room, Room 142 Freezer, 154-D Animal Room, Room 144 Freezer, Room 110-D Animal Room, 116-D Animal Room. SNOW PLOWING: Snow will be plowed after every snowfall amounting to 4 inches or more of snow. All snow will be plowed by truck and placed in an area that will not affect access to the building. Snow will be removed from sidewalks and walkways. There will be no snow placed on sidewalks or left in streets. All snow will be plowed by 7:00 am, unless it starts to snow during the day or continues throughout the day. In such cases, efforts will be made during the day to clear as much snow as possible without interfering with the function of the building. Highlife service is available but is not included in the cost.
