Description

Under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger cohen Act of 1996 the VA Medical Center, Cleveland, OH proposes to enter into a non-competitive contract with NTRU/PBS Business & Technology Network, NTUC Dept 938, Denver, CO 80291 to provide a Series of 10 leadership and management Topics for the continuing education series for the VA Knowledge Network satellite broadcast network. The series is a 10 multi-part satellite program with the following topics: Learning to Lead, Principles of Management (4 programs), Implementing Change (3 programs), 1001 Ways to Increase your Return on People , Breaking through the Four Barriers to Quality, Managers as Mentors, Creating a Business Plan, and Everyone's a Winner: How to Negotiate to Achieve the Best Results for Everybody, Managing Multiple Tasks: Mental Skills for Multi-tasking, Love'Em or Lose'Em: Getting Good People to Stay. NTRU/PBS Business & Technology Network is the only company that has the exclusive rights to broadcast all of these programs in one package via a satellite network. Due to the unique, complex and proprietary nature of this procurement, there is a a reasonable basis to conclude that the supplies/services required are only available from this source with unique capabilities, and no other type of supplies/services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract period is September 28 through December 30, 2000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, but all quotations received within the due date for receipt of quotations shall be considered.
