Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number FA4416-00-R0047 is as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This is a 100 % small business set-aside. The SIC code is 3559. The size standard is 500 employees. If adequate responses are not received from small business this solicitation will become unrestricted without further notice. The contractor shall furnish and install a new UL approved Fire Pump Engine in accordance with NFPA regulations and trouble shoot a repair cooling systems as follows: (Item 01) Furnish one Caterpillar Model 3406 Fire Pump Engine and existing related components. (Item 02) Labor rigging to necessary to remove existing and install a new Caterpillar Model 3406 Fire Pump Engine and existing components at Andrews AFB, MD (Item 003) Troubleshoot and repair cooling systems for fire pump units 1 & 2 at building 1731 Andrew AFB, MD. The following FAR provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to offers -- Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is applicable, Offerors shall include with their offers, a completed copy of 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items is applicable. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes and Executive Orders -- Commercial Items is applicable and the following clauses are checked: 52.232.33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer- Central Contractor Registration and 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended (41 U.S.C. 352, et seq.).
