- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency with Tippman Ordnance 1000 South Lincoln, Unit T, Loveland, CO 80537. The period of performance will commence from the date of contract award through 30 September 2001. The Government anticipates issuing a delivery order for a minimum quantity of each line item (0001 0007) at time of award. The items will be delivered FOB Destination and shipped to/marked for: Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, Attn: Captain T.J. Walker c/o Jeanne Pierson, 3255 Meyers Avenue, Suite 214, Quantico, VA 22134. This requirement is for the following items: CLIN 0001 Paint-Mine Bodies (small) color primer red(10 mine bodies per case), Qty 5 CS Min, 200 CS Max, CLIN 0002 Paint-Mine Refills (small)color yellow (10 refills per case) Qty 20 CS Min, 200 CS Max, CLIN 0003 M1A-M Mortar Tube 62mm Qty 3 EA Min, 12 EA Max, CLIN 0004 M1A-M Mortar Paint Rounds (blue) (5 rounds per case) 20 ounces, Qty 40 CS Min, 200 Max, CLIN 0005 M1A-M Mortar Paint Rounds (Red) (5 rounds per case) 20 ounces, Qty 20 CS Min, 200 Max, CLIN 0006 Paint -- Special Force Grenades (blue) (10 grenades per case), Qty 75 CS Min, 400 CS Max, and CLIN 0007 Paint Special Force Grenades (Red) (10 grenades per case), Qty 25 Min, 400 Max. This action is in support of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory Project Metropolis for use in Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training. The majority of the training will be conducted in specially designed urban training facilities. These paintball products are required to accurately simulate estimated casualty radius for the following weapon systems: 60mm Mortar, Claymore Mine, and Hand Grenade. It is imperative that the paint simulators be ordered in the sizes and colors stated above due to compatibility with existing weapon systems and operational orders, respectively. No solicitation document exists for this effort. Any responses to this announcement shall be submitted in writing and forwarded to the name and address identified above no later than 13 September 2000. See Note 22.
