Description

The following synopsis supersedes the synopsis/solicitation for "PURCHASE A METAL TRAINING FACILITY FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT" posted on the CBD Network 21Jul00, issued in the CBD on 25Jul00 and modified on 31Jul00. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format described in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP), F19650-00-R-0017. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-19 dated July 26, 2000. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3448 and the small business size standard is 500. The procurement is for a metal training facility that consists of a four (4) story tower with an annex for live fire training including a burn room. The annex and the third floor of the tower are to be built with insulating panels that are fireproof and waterproof to allow for live fire training. There are also option items for Standpipe Connection, Elevator Shaft, Sprinkler System and Painting the Facility. Ship in prefab form. The Metal Training Facility includes the following: CLIN 0001, 1 EACH, Building/annex with insulating panels in the annex and on the third floor; CLIN 0002, 1 EACH, Exterior Stairs; CLIN 0003, 1 EACH, Exhaust Fan; CLIN 0004, 1 EACH, Shed-roof over the annex; CLIN 0005, 4 EACH, Rappelling Rings; CLIN 0006, 1 EACH, Balcony; CLIN 0007, Assembly of the Facility; CLIN 0008, Shipping and Handling of the Facility; Option CLIN 0009, Standpipe Connection, SUBCLIN 0009AA, 1 EACH, Standpipe Connection, SUBCLIN 0009AB, 1 EACH, Assembly of the Standpipe Connection, SUBCLIN 0009AC, 1 EACH, Shipping and Handling of the Standpipe Connection; Option CLIN 0010, Elevator Shaft, SUBCLIN 0010AA, 1 EACH, Elevator Shaft, SUBCLIN 0010AB, 1 EACH, Assembly of the Elevator Shaft, SUBCLIN 0010AC, 1EACH, Shipping and Handling of the Elevator Shaft; Option CLIN 0011, Sprinkler System, SUBCLIN 0011AA, 1 EACH, Sprinkler System, SUBCLIN 0011AB, 1 EACH, Assembly of the Sprinkler System, SUBCLIN 0011AC, 1 EACH, Shipping and Handling of the Sprinkler System; Option CLIN 0012, 1 EACH, Painting the Facility. The Government reserves the right to exercise all, some or none of the Option CLINS. Contractors responding to this solicitation shall provide pricing on ALL of the CLINS. Proposals that do not include prices for ALL of the CLINS will not be considered. Provide literature of your facility with your proposal.
