Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 51-SO-BC-0-00056 is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-18. The requirement is as follows: CLIN0001. Poly bag, 18" X 12"(slide lock on 18" side), 2.7 mil. thick, slide lock style. Quantity 225 thousand (225,000) bags. CLIN0002. Poly bags, 16" X 12", (slide lock on 16" side), 2.7 mil, slide lock style. Quantity 15 thousand(15,000) bags. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Bureau Of The Census, 1201 East 10th Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47132, Attn: Receiving Section Building 60F. Acceptance at same location. Delivery schedule Minimum of 100,000 of CLIN001 and 15,000 CLIN002 no later than Thursday October 12, 2000. The balance of 125,000 CLIN001 due no later than Thursday October 19, 2000. Bids are due on or before 5:00p.m. EST. Wednesday, Sep.13, 2000. The following provisions and clause apply to this RFQ. 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items, 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commerical Items, include completed copy with offer, 52.212-4 Contract Terms And Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commerical Items. Bids may be faxed to 812-218-3937. Award will be made to the responsive bidder offering the lowest cost. In order to be considered responsive an offeror must bid on the full quantities stated.
