Description

See Note 22. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Surveillance Towed Array Sonar System/Low Frequency Active (SURTASS/LFA) Program (PMW182) intends to contract on a sole-source basis with North Carolina State University (NCSU) for scientific and technical engineering services support for FY01 through FY03. The estimated value of the engineering services is estimated at $5.5M. This will be awarded on a Cost Plus Fixed Fee basis. The scientific and technical support provided under this contract will aid the (LFA) Sea Test Program and Long Term Environmental Monitoring Program, essential to the resumption of operations in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Executive Order 12114, the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA). The Standard industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this procurement is 8711.
