Description

This is a set-aside for the Very Small Business -- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement for American Sign Language ASL interpretation services. The interpreter will interpret between English ad ASL for one deaf computer specialist at the Washington Navy Yard, Bldg. 218, 4th Floor, Personal Property, Anacostia, Bldg. 150, Postal Operation Division, Anacostia Bldg. 94 and Material Operations Division, Bldg. l76-1. Occasionally the interpreter will company the deaf person to other sites in and around the Washington Navy Yard and the Washington DC Metro area. The interprepter services will be required on every other Monday eight (8) hours, and eight (8) hours on Tuesday and Thursday and four hours on Wednesday and Friday during period from 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with two (2) one year options. Also, the government may elect to extend the period of performance an additional six (6) months in accordance with FAR 52.218-8, Option to Extend Services. Work will involve interpretation for occasional meeting, training and contact with customers. The evaluation process will include an interview for all potential offerors with the greatest likelihood of receiving award. Award will be made to the offeror, which provides the best overall value to the Government. The request for quotation will be issued on 8 September 2000. Offerors must be available for interview on or before 19 September 2000. SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
