The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) located in Patuxent River, MD, will be hosting "Teaming 2000" on Thursday, November 2, 2000 at the Holiday Inn Select, Solomons Island, MD. The Teaming 2000 training/exhibition will be held in the spirit of mutually beneficial outreach. Teaming 2000 is a mechanism for NAVAIR and NAWCAD to increase the participation by Small Business Concerns into our major programs. Key Navy Procurement Personnel and Government Representatives with expertise in Acquisition Reform initiatives and the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet will be presenting information on current issues affecting the small business community. This is a unique opportunity for small businesses to network with some of the Department of Defense Industry's largest prime Defense Contractors, such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Bell Helicopter Textron, Rockwell Collins, Rolls Royce and United Technologies Pratt & Whitney. All Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUBZone, and Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses are encouraged to attend.
