- Description
- One U.S.-flag, clean, approved, coated tanker, with the following minimum particulars:  U.S. flag  Max age of 20 yrs through life of charter  Vessel minimum carrying capacity 35,000 bbls  Minimum of 3 segregations (intended DFM, JP5, JP8, gasoline)  Minimum 5 ton hose handling crane / boom.  Maximum LOA 400 ft  Maximum DWT 8,000 LT  Maximum laden draft dependent on port restrictions (See Attachment 1)  Minimum speed 12 kts with min cruise range of 5,000 NM  Ability / equipped to lighter / call at port with submarine pipeline.  Require segregated ballast  Ability to mechanically tank clean at sea  Double hull required  ISM / ISO certification  Must meet all MSC requirements for reporting  Must meet all MSC force protection requirements including: training & equipment (weapons, chem bio rad protection)  Communications required Inmarsat / voice, fax, e-mail capability, cellular phone.  Must be able to call at Government depots; at a minimum: Hachinohe, Chimuwan, Sasebo Akasaki / Iorizaki / Yokose, Iwakuni, Hakozaki, Guam, Kwajalein, Wake Island, Johnston Atoll, Midway. 2. PLACE/RANGE OF DELIVERY: Japan/Korea range, port in CHOP 3. PLACE/RANGE OF REDELIVERY: Japan/Korea range, port in CHOP 4. CHARTER PERIOD: 17 Months Firm with two 17-Month Option Periods. Government has the option to cancel after one (1) year in any option period with 60 days prior notice. 5. LAYDAYS: Commencing 01 NOV 2000/Canceling 28 FEB 2001, to be mutually narrowed. Additional specs and Port characteristics will be included in the RFP.
