- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F41614-00-T0200 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19 and DCN 20000831 The SIC code is 3443 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is open to both large and small business concerns. CLIN 0001: Tower, cooling,900 GPM, two cell, constructed of heavy gage steel with G-235 galvanizing, unit includes dual top hot water inlet connections with balancing valves and single cold water outlet connection (per cell), flanged hot water connections and mechanical grooved cold water connections, PVC wet deck with integral drift eliminators, fiberglass-reinforced polyester air inlet louver with galvanized air inlet screens, bronze make-up valve assembly with float, and connections for owner installed electric pan heaters. MFG: Baltimore Air Coil PN: 33235-2RJM. This is a brand-name request in accordance with FAR 11.105 _ the government has determined that the particular brand name is essential to the Government's requirements, and market research indicates other companies' similar products do not meet or can not be modified to meet, the agency's needs. The government requires delivery no later than 30 Sep 00. FOB Point is Goodfellow AFB, TX 76908. Offeror_s are required to submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Feb 2000), and detail warranty provisions with offer. FAR 52.252-(Feb 1998) This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of this paragraph (d) if this contract was awarded using other than sealed bid, is in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold, and does not contain the clause at 52.215-2, Audit and Records -- Negotiation.(1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor's directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract.(2) The Contractor shall make available at its offices at all reasonable times the records, materials, and other evidence for examination, audit, or reproduction, until 3 years after final payment under this contract or for any shorter period specified in FAR Subpart 4.7, Contractor Records Retention, of the other clauses of this contract. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved.(3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form.
