- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Harvard School of Public Health, Dept of Environmental Health, 665 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 for the acquisition of High Volume Low Cut-Off Inertial Impactor. The contractor shall design, manufacture, test and deliver an impactor with the following characteristics: a circular slit-shaped acceleration jet and operates at 1,000L/min; a pre-selective inlet to remove particles above 10 um; a coarse particle impactor to collect particles between 2.5 and 10um; a fine particle impactor to collect particles between 0.12 and 2.5um; a large filter pack to collect ultrafine particles,0.12um; the impactor substrate for the fine and coarse particles is to be polyurethane foam (PUF); requiring no oil or grease coating; the impactor substrate surface shall be designed to collect large amounts of particles on a relative small collection surface, with particles extracted easily by using small amounts of water or organic solvents; and a large pumping unit. EPA believes that Harvard School of Public Health, Dept of Environmental Health is the only vendor capable of satisfying requirements stated above. No Solicitation is available. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities in writing within 15 days of the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources (s) exist and, therefore, no RFP is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFP will be ignored.
