Description
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . NASA/JSC plans to acquire a MotionScope S High Speed Video System Series 8000S brand name or equal with the following salient features: 1)Stand alone, portable system that does not require an external computer system for data acquisition. 2)Frame rates up to 8000/second (black and white is preferred). 3) Built in monitor. 4) System must contain video outputs for remote viewing and data storage on an S-VHS system. 5) Memory must be sufficient to allow recording of four seconds of video data at 8000 frames /sec. 6) Multi-function zoom lens (standard C-mount type is preferred) 7) Tripod. 8)Protective case for storage and shipping. 9)Camera must be able to be separated from the data acquisition box by approximately 100 feet, all required cables to be included for this. Short cables (10-15 feet) should also be included for local work. 10) A remote control (remote keypad, wired is acceptable) to control the data acquisition box from up to 50 feet distance is preferred but not necessary. 11) System must be able to be triggered with standard TTL level to acquire and store video data. The trigger signal may either start, end or define the middle of the video sequence (it does not matter which one it does). Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is acceptable) no later than 09/15. Prospective quoters shall notify this office of their intent to submit a quotation. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
