Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0340 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19 and DCN 20000831. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 8711 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 1 Lot Engineering Support Services consisting of the following level of effort; Minimum labor hours consisting of Professional Engineering Consulting, 712 hours; Senior Engineer, 360 hours; Senior Technician, 40 hours. Statement of Work can be downloaded at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. This requirement will be satisfied using a sole-source award to Systems Design and Analysis (SDA), Indianapolis, IN, since SDA is the only company with the knowledge and experience needed to perform the tasks. The performance period is to begin 10/1/2000 and end 12/31/2000. This will be a firm fixed price, level-of-effort contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
