Description

DESC: 4910-00-543-7771. The item to procure is an Automotive Work Table. The U.S. Government, TACOM-Rock Island, Illinois, has a requirement for a commercial cabinet-base metal worktable with a laminated hard maple top, which is installed in mobile shop sets and used for maintenance operations. The following features are desired: drawers (material-metal); twelve drawers with nominal dimensions of 2.625 inch height, 5.625 inch width, and 17.438 inch depth; six drawers with nominal dimensions of 2.625 inch height, 11.250 inch width, and 17.438 inch depth; eight drawers with nominal dimensions of 4.500 inch height, 11.250 inch width and 17.438 inch depth; one shelf; two front opening bins with drawers and locking provisions. The total numbers of drawers and shelves may vary as long as the total storage area would be roughly equivalent. The drawers must be provided with a means for locking. Due to space limitations in the shop set enclosure, the envelope dimensions cannot exceed 35.5 inches height by 25 inches wide by 72 inches long. This will be a five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), 100% Small business Set Aside contract. The estimated total requirement for the five years is 360 worktables. The guaranteed quantity for the first pricing period is 60. FOB point is Destination. Estimated issue date is 25 September 00. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
