Description

The Federal Railroad Administration intends to award a sole soure purchase order for follow-on work to be performed by Fulcrum Corporation of Fairfax Station, VA, for refinement and subsequent testing of a railroad brake sensor (developed by Fulcrum under the previous purchase order), along with designing a variant of the brake sensor for truck-mounted rigging. The applicable authority for this announced intention is that under 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Part 6.302(a)(2)(ii), "Only One Responsible Source." This task is not a competitive Request for Quote and a competitive RFQ is not available.
