Description

The U.S. Department of Education Office of Intergovernmental and Interagency Affairs (OIIA), intends to make a sole source award to provide television production and related services. The Satellite Town Meeting is a monthly television program/teleconference on school improvement hosted by the U.S. Secretary of Education. The purpose of the meeting is to present a forum for practical useful ideas that average citizens can use to reform teaching and learning in their communities. The contractor will provide live, multi-camera television production services, and facilities to accommodate a live, studio audience of at least 65 people and to host a pre-broadcast networking event before each program. The contractor will also have the capability for incoming video from satellite remotes, viewer telephone call-ins, and on screen graphics, etc. The Department intends to make this award to Newseum, 1101 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia, on or about October 30, 2000.
