Description

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to award a sole source contract with FileNET Corporation, to acquire software maintenance and support for the FileNET document management software suite used by the NRC for the Agency-Wide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS). The period of performance for the service is 12 months. This support can only be provided by FileNET due to the proprietary nature of the software source code, logic, diagrams/manuals, and schematics. Interruption in these services would impact the NRC's ability to use ADAMS to retrieve Agency records vital to regulatory decision making and would restrict public access to Agency documents.
