Description

The VA Network Business Center intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Marconi Medical Systems, Inc., Irvine, CA, under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular (FAC) 97-19. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is for room renovation, removal, move, and reinstallation of the existing Marconi Clinix RF X-Ray System currently located at the VA Outpatient Clinic, Mission Valley, California, to be reinstalled at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, La Jolla, California. This CBD announcement is being placed to satisfy the requirements in FAR 5.201. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
