Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to award a one-year contract to Darlington, Incorporated, Arlington, VA effective 1 November 2000 for operation and maintenance of the Bosnia Command & Control Augmentation (BC2A) Program's Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) network, land and sea deployed Joint Broadcast Service Receive Terminals, Help Desk, and associated Integrated Logistics (ILS) Operations. Darlington has a unique installed support network based within Germany, Bosnia, Macedonia and the Kosovo province of the Former Republic of Yugoslavia. Darlington has extensive experience with the proprietary (government owned) hardware and software incorporated into the JBS receive terminals. Award to any replacement vendor would invite a 6-12 month learning curve to become sufficiently familiar with the VSAT and JBS systems, critical to the BC2A operation. See Note 22. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
