Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) at 12345 West Alameda Parkway, Suite 204, Lakewood, CO , intends to acquire 16 Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) systems with ELT to NAV interface. The transmitters shall send out a 5 watt digital signal every 50 seconds for 520 milliseconds with the serial number of the beacon, the manufacturer of the beacon and the country code. The ELT to NAV interface shall be designed to be connected between the aircraft's flight Management Computer (FMC) or GPS receiver and the ELT. The interface shall have the ability to custom program the ELT to the "24-Bit Addresses" assigned to commercial aircraft and used by the TCAS system. The Government knows of no other source and believes this procurement is proprietary to Artex. This is a Simplified Acquisition with an estimated value of less than $60,000. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. All responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
