- This is a combined synopsis/solicition for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Proposal No. 211-1-00. This procurement is being issued unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification is 3432 with a size standard of 500 employees. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has a requirement for three (3) each 125 BHP Ohio Special boilers, built per ASME boiler and pressure vessel code for 150 psi construction, operating at 15 psi, each with the following features, appurtenances and characteristics: capacity of 4,312 #/hr from and at 212 degree F, 3 pass wetback scotch marine water tube, maximum heating surface is 360 sq ft, steel skid base, gas tight construction for pressurized firing, hinged steel front and rear flue doors with fiber glass gaskets, 2 inch expanded and beaded tubes flanged round flue gas outlet with damper, lifting lugs, 22 gauge enameled steel jacket with 1-1/2 inch mineral fiber insulation manhole, handholes as required by ASME, feedwater connections on both sides with internal baffle,8 inch ANSI 300# steam nozzle, the boiler construction shall be per IRI McDonnell Miller 193A-7B combination water column feedwater valve control and low water cut off with water gauge set, tri-cocks and ball check valves. Worcester inch modulating feedwater valve with Honeywell actuator and mounting bracket. 3 slow opening bottom blow down valves, bronze globe feedwater valve, bronze swing check feedwater valve, two (2) 8inch OS&Y steam valves, factory hydro test, 3 inch flue gas thermometer, ASME safety valves, 4 inch steam pressure gauge with cock and test connection gas train, including gas pressure regulators, shall be mounted, piped and wired for an incoming gas pressure of 23 ounces, control cabinet including Honeywell flame safeguard control, control circuit transformer, burner switch, manual potentiometer, indicating lights for: flame failure, low water, ignition, main fuel and a numbered terminal strip, low fire hold control, burner operation on natural gas and #2 fuel oil, oil train mounted, piped and wired including oil pump and motor assembly for pressure atomizing, boiler and burner shall be by same manufacturer, boiler front and rear door refractory shall have a ten (10) year factory warranty for labor and materials, burner fuel-air control shall be fully modulating or have a minimum of 16 incremental steps, startup, training,warranty and service shall be done by employees of the manufacturer or the representative, not a subcontractor, and shall be available 24/7. FLUE GAS STACK ECONOMISER (PER BOILER) (additive bid item, each), Constructed and stamped per ASME section VIII division 1, 316 stainless steel (ss) tubes with aluminum fins metalurgically bonded to the tubes,internal ss exhaust gas bypass, double wall side panels with 2inch of insulation, hinged ss access panels to the tubing quick release tension latches, ASME safety relief valve set @ 250 psi, two (2), 3 inch dial thermometers, 150 -- 750 degree F, two (2), 3inch bimetal, dial thermometers with wells, 50 -- 500degree F, cylindrical design not greater than 36 inches in height, proposal must include performance analysis calculations, BOILER FEED PUMPS (PER BOILER) (additive bid item, each), multi stage vertical centrifugal type, 304 SS impeller, intermediate chambers, spacing pipes, outer sleeve, priming valve, coupling guard, 316 ss pump shaft, cast iron suction and discharge base, 1-1/4" suction and discharge connections, ANSI 250lbs, 4 bolt, 250degree F max temp rating, 230 psi max working pressure, 3450rpm, TEFC, 3/60/208-230/460v motor, 25gpm @ 30 psi, designed for continuous operation including ss bypass orifice, LIGHT LOAD BOILER (additive bid item), One (1) boiler same as above except the capacity is 1,725lbs/hr.
