Description

The Government intends to award on a sole source basis, a modification to Contract Number DAAB07-96-C-A510 to acquire thirty-two Transmission Security (TRANSEC) Versa Module Europa (VME) Information Security (VIM) Type 2 (VIM-4) Modules and forty VIM-4 COMSEC Modules that are to replace the interim VIM-2 TRANSEC Modules, which are only to be used for Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) of the Tri-Band Tactical Terminals T3(H) and associated engineering support and technical document generation required for the NSA Certifiation of the T3(H)COMSEC VIM-4 version. The acquisition of the above modules will be performed under the Firm Fixed Price (FFP) portion of the contract and the associated engineering support services will be performed under the Cost Plus Fixes Fee (CPFF) portion of the contract. Only one responsible offeror exists, Raytheon Corporation. The Government intends to contract with Raytheon, the T3 system contractor to acquire the VIM capability. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not to be considered as a Request For Proposal. Solicitation documents are not available.
