Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking prospective offerors who are capable of supplying infrared transparent as well as opaque wet and dry offset inks which can be used for printing currency on high volume offset presses. The requirements are still under development, but at this time ink suppliers should target the following: inks must perform on the Simultan press, meet Pantone Matching System colors to be specified, and meet specification requirements 3.2, 3.3.1-3.3.8, 3.4.2, 3.4.5, 3.4.8, 3.4.9, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 4.2, 4.3.1, through 4.3.5, 4.3.8-4.3.16, 4.4, 5.1, 5.1.5 and 7.0 of BEP specification I:ICWIR-1A, February 28, 2000. A copy of I:ICWIR-IA is posted on EPS and can be found at www.eps.gov under Treasury, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and posted date July 6, 2000.
