Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dry-docking and repairs including but not limited to the following base and options items: CGC WYACONDA Base items: (1) Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks (2) Clean and Inspect Ballast Tank(s) (3) Preserve Barge Port and Starboard Ballast Tanks (4) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller and Intermediate Shafts (5) Renew Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings and Sleeves (6) Remove, Reinstall, and Perform Minor Repair and Reconditioning to Propellers (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies for Steering and Flanking Systems (8) Clean and Test Grid Coolers (9) Install Umbilical Cord Electrical Outlet (9) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves (10) Renew Tender Towing Knees (10) Preserve Spud and Spud Well (10) Fabricate and Install New Sewage Tank (11) Preserve Bilges Below Potable Water Tanks (12) Preserve Barge Buoy Deck (13) Preserve Underwater Body (14) Preserve Freeboard (15) Provide Temporary Logistics (16) Routine Drydocking. CGC Gasconade Option items: (1) Welding Repairs (2) Perform Minor Coating Repairs in Tender and Barge Diesel Fuel and Oil Tank(s), Potable Water Tank(s), and Sewage and Grey Water Tank(s) (3) Fabricate Propeller and Intermediate Shaft(s) (4) Rebuild Steering and Flanking Rudder Stock(s) (5) Renew Upper Bearing Housing and Support and Lower Bearing Trunk (6) Renew Spud Well Liner Section (7) Ultrasonic Testing (8) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. One solicitation will be issued for both vessels. However, consideration of two separate awards will be made. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is for drydock repairs to the USCGC GASCONADE (WLR 75401), a 75 foot _C-Class_ river tender, and a 90 foot barge and to the USCGC WYACONDA (WLR 75403), a 75 foot _C-Class_ river tender, and a 130 foot barge. The homeport of the USCGC GASONADE is Omaha Nebraska. The homeport of the USCGC WYACONDA is Dubuque, Iowa. The tenders are geographically restricted to transiting the navigable portions of the Mississippi River and its tributaries above mile O of the Lower Mississippi River yearlong and south of Melvin Price Lock and Dam between 1 November to 15 March. The performance period for both cutters is 49 days and is expected to begin 8 Jan 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten (10) days from solicitation issuance]. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about September 25, 2000.
