Description

This is notice of intent to negotiate with Fore Systems, Inc., 1000 Fore Drive, Warrendale, PA 15086 on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase maintenance service for Fore Chassis and modules for 24X7 maintenance; Base software upgrades and enhancements; Access to TACtics online (www site); 24 hour advance replacement on hardware; ASX-1000/5AC, SUPP-S-A (3 each); ASX-1200/5AC, SUPP-S-A (4 each); CEC-1000-B, SUPP-S-A (7 each); TALON ATM SWITCH FABRIC (11 each); PS-1000AC-R, SUPP-S-A (7 each); SCP-ASXP5, SUPP-S-A (13 each); NM-1/6222SMLRD, SUPP-S-A (9 each); NM-4/DS3D, SUPP-S-A (2 each); and PS-1000AC, SUPP-S-A (7 each). The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Fore Systems, Inc. since they have proprietary rights to the specifications and technical data related to this hardware. The maintenance service will take place at the Information Management Department located at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD 20670 for the period of 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001.
