Description
SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, and services of a qualified hotel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area or Baltimore, MD for a Senior Staff Conference sometime in January 2001. The Meeting will be three to five days in length. There will be approximately 225 -- 250 attendees. The estimated number of sleeping rooms per night is 100 if held in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. If held in Baltimore, we may require about 200 rooms per night. The meeting room requirements include, but are not limited to, a general session for 225-250 schoolroom, five concurrent sessions for 50 each schoolroom, and two offices. There may also be one reception, one luncheon, and daily breaks for the full group. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation about the middle of September at www.eps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This requirement will be procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items in Subpart 13.5. All responsible hotels may submit a quote which shall be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding a contract about the end of October, 2000. *****
