Description
The United States Postal Service is seeking to prequalify potential suppliers of leased vehicles for one or more potential multiyear, indefinite quantity fixed-price contracts for approximately 10,000 new vehicles throughout the United States. Vehicles will include, but are not limited to, minivans; right-hand and left-hand drive and ton Jeep-type vehicles; passenger cars or station wagons; , 1, 2, and 5 ton trucks; tractors and trailers. Suppliers must have been in the vehicle leasing business for at least five (5) years and have the capability to establish an electronic ordering and payment process, including web-based processing. Supplier will be required to furnish various electronic status reports, including ordering, deliveries, current vehicle location, current vehicle cost, total contract cost, etc. Prequalification packages will be mailed after 9/17/2000. Some of the factors used to evaluate a submitted prequalification include financial capability, experience, and supplier capability. Only the most highly qualified firms will be prequalified. Being prequalified does not guarantee you will be awarded a contract. You will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in developing your prequalification statement.
