Description
This is a combined synopsis/solcitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation document and incorporated provisons and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This is an unrestricted solicitation. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The requirement are: Carrier deluxe 10 ton air conditioning condensing unit model 38AKS013 -- -6, 460/480/3 phase, semi-hermetic compressor, high/low pressure switches, time guard short cycle protection, 24 volt control, compressor unloading 67, 100% std. motormaster I low ambient controls, winter start package for low ambient, heavy duty coil guard, minimum 1 year warranty on parts and 5 years on the compressor. Total of 22 systems being purchased. Quotes shall include costs for all items to be delivered to Bureau of the Census, Receiving Building, 1201 E. 10th Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47132. Offerors shall include their best delivery schedule. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.21.-2, Evaluations-Commercial Items, 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions requred to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All offers must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., EDST, Tuesday, September 19, 2000. Award will be made to the responsive bidder offering the lowest cost. In order to be considered responsive, an offeror must bid all quantities. The Government anticipates only one award as a result of this solicitation.
