Description

Modification. The purpose of this modification is to clarify the technical description for the 80,000 feet of telephone cable required under solicitation DAAD0700P0213. Therefore, the description is changed read as follows: Cable telephone 25 pair , 22 gauge (0.64mm), IAW REA Spec. PE-39. Filled ASP, with gopher proof shield, Filled ASP shielding system utilizes two metal shield tapes. A 0.008 inch corrugated aluminum shield and a 0.006 inch steel shield applied longitudinally with an overlap over the aluminum tape. Insulation on each conductor shall be with solid colored polyolefin compound. The insulation shall be uniform, smooth and concentric. Individual conductors shall be twisted into pairs with varying lays to minimize crosstalk and with specified colors combinations to provide pair identification. Sequential footage markings printed at two foot intervals, filled cable core- both the aluminum shield and the steel shield will have flooding compound under and between them. ASPF ( aluminum steel petroleum filled) outer jacket black polyethlene. This cable is suitable for direct burial. Last know National Stock Number NSN 6145-01-234-0263. The response date for receipt of proposals was changed earlier on this date, from 11 September 2000 to 18 September 2000, 1400 hours. The date for receipt of proposals, 18 September 2000, 1400 hours, remains unchanged by this notice. Offerors who have already submitted proposals and do not find it necessary to change their proposals due to the cable description herein, must provide confirmation of their original proposals.
