Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: Quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document being issued as Request for Quotation(RFQ) 856998, provisions and clauses incorporated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code is 333511. This is a Small Business Set-Side. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The "Brand Name or Equal" products shall meet or exceed the following salient characteristics, (1)ea MCP Vacuum Casting Machine, Model number MCP 004 PLC, Technical Data: Height 1.900 mm, Width 1.600mm, Depth 800mm, Weight 1300kg, Space requirement 0.89m, Max. Mould size H x W x D 650 x 900 x 600 mm, Casting volume 5,500g, Electrical capacity 3 phase 380V, 50/60 hz, 3,5 KW, Ultimate vacuum 0.5 mbar. PLC controls: 200 casting programs, Teach in, Information print out (ISO), PC interface. Systems Contains: Blending whisk, Mixing-cup, Funnel, Chamber, Cup, Main Switch, Colour-touch-screen, Lifter switch, Lifter, Vacuum pump, Chamber, RIM-Port, Window. Component Capacity: 5.5 KG, Degree of Vacuum: 75 Torr (max), Air Pump Rate: 17.66 cu. FT/MIN, Power: 1.2kw, 208/230 VAC, 60 HZ, 3 phase. The above characteristics are intended to be descriptive, but not restricted. Unless clearly marked that the vendor is quoting on an "equal" item the offered items shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this announcement. If the vendor proposed to furnish and "equal" products, the brand name, if any, of the product to be furnished shall be inserted on the proposal. The evaluation of quotations and determination as to equality of the product shall be the responsibility of the Government and will be based on information furnished by the vendor. The purchasing activity is not responsibility for locating information furnished by the vendor. To insure that sufficient information is available, the vendor must furnish as part of their quotation all descriptive material (such illustrations, drawing or other information) necessary for the purchasing activity to determine whether the product meets the salient characteristics of the requirement. If the vendor proposed to modify a product so as to make it conform to the requirement of this announcement they shall include a clear description of such proposed modifications. The government reserves the right to request product samples which can be tested for compatibility. A Standard Commercial Warranty is required. FOB-Destination -- Quantico, VA, with 30 days of ARO. Quotes should be submitted to FBI Headquarters to the attention of the Contract Officer, no later than 4:00 p.m. EST, 9/25/00, clearly marked with RFQ# 856998. FAR provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offer -- Commercial Items (MAR 2000), 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999), 52- 212-3 Offeror Representation and Certification -- Commercial Items (FEB 2000), shall be completed and submitted with offer, FAR Clause 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (MAY 1999), and U.S. DOJ clauses, that also can be obtained on the Internet, http://www.doj.gov, 2852.233-70 Protects Filed Directly with the Department of Justice (JAN 1998) is incorporated by reference and applies to acquisition. FAR provision 52-212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN 1999). Offerors will be evaluated and award will be made to the responsive , responsible offeror submitting the lowest price, technical acceptable offer shall meet or exceed salient characteristics, considering Past Performance information which shall include at least three of your most recent customers within the last three years, whom you have sold the same or similar products to by stating the company name, point of contact, address and telephone number and meeting all the terms and condition set forth in this solicitation.
