Description

Sole Source Acquisition to be awarded to Spectro Inc., 160 Ayer Rd., Littleton, MA 01460. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(b)(4), the Agency Head has determined in accordance with the agency's standardization program (Joint Oil Analysis Program (JOAP)) and Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) that only this manufacturer's equipment will satisfy the agency needs. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Request for Proposal No. W81R8T-0241-0021. This solicitation/synopsis incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number is W81R8T-0241-0021, the SIC is 3826 (500 employees or less), this is a 100% small-business set-aside under simplified acquisition procedures, and the FSC is 6650. Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) are: 0001 Oil Analysis Spectrometer Spectroil M/N (includes 3 days of training) 1 each; 0002, Extended spares maintenance kit P/N M96020 1 each; 0003 User tool kit P/N M96040 1 each; 0004 Reusable sample holder P/N M90202 10 each; 0005 Cover, reusable holder P/N M909204 10 each; and 0006 Additional Operation/Maintenance manual P/N M95600 1 each. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition.
