- Description
- UNICOR FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for leather in accordance with federal specifications MIL-L-44051, USDA 6170-5C, and must meet the performance requirements of the National Fire Protection Association of 1977, and the Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Fire-Fighting, 1993 Edition, Chapter 4-3, Protective Gloves for the following line item: Line Item 0001 -- Leather, Cream, F-Grain, Type II, Class A or B. Leather shall be made in accordance with USDA Specification 6170-5C, and MIL-L-44051, Unit of Measure: Square Feet (SF). Line Item 0001 -- LEA0021 is a commercial item with a modification which allows for increased fire retardance of the leather. The period of performance is from date of award through one (1) year and four (4) option years if exercised. The first (start-up) delivery shall be 30 calendar days after receipt of delivery order. All subsequent delivery orders shall be 15 calendar days after receipt of delivery order. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: 150,000 SF. Delivery is FOB Destination at FCI Sandstone, MN. This requirement is all or none. Bid Samples are required from each Offeror which shall be 12"x12" in size and shall accompany lab test results. All samples are due not later than October 16, 2000 at 2:00 pm to the Attention of Ana Ortega, Contracting Officer, FCI Sandstone, 2300 County Road 29, Sandstone, MN 55072. This award will result in the Best Value to the Government. The evaluation factors are Past Performance, Specifications, and Price. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about September 22, 2000. Please do not access UNICOR's website for this solicitation until September 22, 2000, as it will not be posted on or about that date.
