Description

The Department of Justice is installing Perey Turnstiles (Model 136) in the lobby of a building, located in Washington, DC, that has a new marble floor, the landlord will not allow drilling of the marble to set the turnstiles or to supply the electric and data cables needed. We have decided to have a base/platform fabricated to bolt the turnstiles to and to run the electric and data cables through. This base/platform is to be of minimal height and handicapped accessible and designed so as not to mar the marble floor. There is a requirement for two (2) of these bases/platforms approximately 18 feet 10 inches long. They will sit on the marble floor on either side of an existing security desk in the middle of the lobby. On one side of the desk will be three (3) turnstiles and one (1) blank or dummy end, while the other side will have two (2) turnstiles and one (1) blank or dummy end as well as a handicapped access swing gate and an end pole. Each side will require a railing system (bolted to the base/platform) between the last turnstile and the lobby wall. The railing system will need to be brushed bronze to match the turnstiles.
