- Description
- This is a Request for Information and synopsis for development of a web-based information and sales system for the Navy's General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE)product line. The requirements include development, execution and maintenance capability to provide a web-based e-commerce storefront offering the ability to conduct secure ordering and payment transactions utilizing multiple forms of payment, including the use of Governemnt credit cards, funded DOD milstrip format requisitions, and commercial purchase orders; and provide technical services to Goverment customers, including electronic access to GPETE equipment specifications, product descriptions, product options, OEM data sheets, available training or technical use guidance,and FAQs. The e-commerce site will also provide search capabilities to be utilized by Government personnel to research availability of test equipments to meet specific performance requirements. The search capability will include product CAGE and part numbers, national stock number, product description and/or product specifications, manufacturers' product line search, and a 'similar products' search capability. This site shall also provide a full range of customer feedback including customer service requests, order status, shipment status and shipment tracking. The requirement includes the development of interfaces with Navy financial systems such that both the transaction of funding and actual ordering and shipment information can be passed into existing Navy legacy financial and supply programs. The offeror shall have established marketing and business relationships with all major GPETE product manufacturers; the offeror shall also develop and execute a detailed marketing strategy designed to advance the utilization of this site to all potential Government and DOD customer bases.
