Description

The U.S. Department of energy intends to extend its current contract with Internet Security Systems of Atlanta GA on a sole source basis for acquisition of licensing and support for its Internet Scanner proprietary computer software, for use in scanning computer networks for vulnerability and security weaknesses. The software is used by the DOE Inspector General's Office. The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 USC(c)(1). Interested parties are advised that no solicitation is available for this acquisition. Interested parties may identify their interest and capacity to respond to this requirement or to submit capability statements. This "Notice of Intent" is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government (this timeframe supersedes that of Note 22).
